Instant weight loss? You don’t need a ‘tablet’.

Right, here’s the scenario.  You’re looking to order an IPad 3 off the internet (other tablet computers are available!)  You’ve found a place that’s selling them for a great price and they have two delivery options both at the same cost.

Option one your brand new all singing all dancing Ipad will be delivered the same day you order it!!  Amazing or what?! But there’s a catch. It will work perfectly for three weeks then start to malfunction and eventually break down.  Option two your Ipad will be delivered by snail mail in eight weeks time but this time it’ll work perfectly and last you a lifetime.

So which one would you choose? It’s obvious, but why don’t we relate this to losing weight? Lose a stone in a week and eventually you’ll put the weight back on and usually a bit more because of a slowed up metabolism. Lose a stone in eight weeks and you’ll keep it off, develop a happy positive attitude towards fitness and continue to lose weight.

Between one and two pounds per week is the healthy recommended rate for weight loss. This way you can be sure that it’s fat loss and not muscle or fluid.  You may shrug and be disheartened by the relatively small number but if you look at the photo you’ll see that one pound of body fat is a considerably sum. Beware of diets and weight loss programmes that can guarantee huge weight loss with little effort or time.

The best way to lose weight and keep it off is to eat small amounts regularly through the day.  Avoid the obvious unhealthy foods and make sure the total amount you eat is a little less than if you ate three regular meals.  Drink water often and exercise at least three times a week for up to an hour a time. If that doesn’t work for you you could wait for the Ipad 4 to come out!?
